Deliquus.

A Paradoxical Experience.

This public art project displays extinct animals' figures produced with biodegradable substance which dissolves in time, tilized in an environmentally-focused educational capacity and offers the audience a paradoxical experience. The deterioration and disappearance of animals over time, despite their size and grandeur, draws attention to the survival struggle of animals.

At Deliquus, we transform public spaces into immersive encounters that intertwine the power of nature with the pulse of urban life. Our installations bridge ancient and contemporary worlds, casting new light on ruins, temples, and cityscapes while aligning with the rhythms of seasonal transitions. Through each work, we aim to spark a renewed sense of connection between humanity and the natural world, highlighting the delicate balance between continuity and change.

Our public art project showcases figures of extinct animals crafted from biodegradable materials that gradually dissolve over time, offering a poignant, environmentally-focused educational experience. The gradual deterioration and eventual disappearance of these majestic figures serve as a visual metaphor for the survival struggle of countless species, emphasizing both their size and their vulnerability.

Our creative journey begins with abstract concepts and render trials, blending diverse elements like urban spaces, temple ruins, and serene public parks. Each render moves us closer to spaces that honor human heritage and the marvels of nature, engaging viewers with the beauty and fragility of our environment. Here’s a glimpse into our process. Our installations evolve in sync with the seasons, celebrating iconic species and ecosystems to draw awareness to the unique adaptations of each season:

Western Gorilla (Gorilla gorilla)

Witness these majestic beings brought to life in urban settings, evolving month by month to reflect seasonal changes and the natural shifts that surround us.

Snow Leopard (Panthera uncia)

From the quiet strength of winter to the renewal of spring, this installation captures the snow leopard’s resilience and the seamless flow of seasonal transitions.

Wallum Froglet (Crinia tinnula)

This amphibian installation symbolizes the fragility of ecosystems, changing subtly with each month to underscore the urgency of environmental preservation.

Each installation encourages audiences to reflect on our relationship with nature, cultivating a deeper connection to the natural world within urban landscapes.

Bringing It All Together: Campus and Public Spaces

Our final render trials bring this harmonious blend of nature, history, and modernity to campuses and public squares, inviting exploration and introspection. These spaces foster contemplation, education, and community, drawing attention to the urgency of conservation and the passage of time. We welcome you to join us in reconnecting with the essence of our shared world through these meaningful, time-bound experiences.
